Why China Dominates in Hypersonic Missiles

Why does China seem to release hypersonic missiles one after another, while the United States struggles so much? Because many people don’t understand how missiles are made. Many think wind tunnels are the solution, but they’re not. I’ll share a little-known fact: standard atmospheric wind tunnels can’t achieve supersonic speeds. Aircraft and missiles can only reach sonic speeds under normal atmospheric pressure. You might say, ‘Nonsense, what about supersonic fighter jets and missiles?’ These are achieved under pressurized conditions, flying at supersonic speeds under one atmosphere of pressure. These rely on a gas membrane to push the air out. Regardless of whether the engine is a turbofan or a solid rocket, or anything else, if you want to simulate a wind tunnel, you’ll end up with this: a high-pressure wind tunnel, which isn’t blown by fans but blasted by compressed gas. Wind tunnels aren’t blown; they’re exploded. But even so, at most, I’d give you 100 atmospheres of pressure. That’s a terrifying pressure, with speeds of one to two thousand meters per second—most explosive shockwaves don’t reach 2000 m/s, and even that only just breaks the Mach 6 barrier. Mach 6 is fine for developing fighter jets, but not for missiles. The DF17’s re-entry speed can reach tens of Mach. High-pressure wind tunnels can’t achieve such speeds. Such terrifying pressures would cause bolts to explode out of connections, even with meter-thick shells. Not to mention, creating such pressures is nearly impossible. So what’s the solution? The balanced light gas gun, which is a definitive world leader, is truly remarkable. It’s the precursor to chemical artillery (the Type 100 tank is chemical artillery). High-pressure, lightweight gases, after expansion, are redirected in a shockwave. This can achieve speeds of thousands to tens of thousands of Mach, more than enough until some wondrous sub-light-speed weapons are invented. Even the gas fired out is in a plasma state (those familiar with high-energy chemistry know how terrifying that is). Why can Old Zhong develop hypersonic missiles with his eyes closed? Because there’s a big problem with hypersonic missiles: re-entry into the atmosphere. The black barrier has troubled humanity for nearly a century. Manned vehicles can gamble on deceleration in this process. Missiles can’t slow down during this phase, leading to huge errors in landing points. So, most missiles that need to fly out of the atmosphere can only use nuclear warheads. Even with today’s technological advancements, with miniaturized radars and hypersonic missiles, they still need terminal deceleration. But Old Zhong’s missiles not only don’t need to slow down, but their accuracy is also at the meter level. Why? Because the light gas gun developed by Old Zhong was designed to fire a burst of plasma shockwave gas. All calculations, all issues, all angles have been considered. Not only do they not need to slow down, but they can even make corrections during this precious, undetectable phase. Many people brag about the KKVs that America has long since abandoned. But the only truly stealthy man-made object in human history is a high-speed missile in a black barrier state. During this falling phase, acceleration pulls the plasma shockwave to a huge size. Any human detector sees this as a large, continuous light spot spanning several kilometers. You can only laugh if you try to block it. Do you know the AT field? When Old Zhong’s DF17 falls back, the huge plasma shockwave is very much like an AT field. A massive, polygonal, layered plasma shockwave. And the kinetic energy carried by this terrifying warhead, even without using a nuclear bomb and just packing it with tungsten alloy, can penetrate 17 meters of steel plate. That is to say, even if the President of the United States hides under Cheyenne Mountain, Old Zhong’s DF17 can blast right through the entire mountain. Old Zhong’s mastery of hypersonic technology is on a different level from the Americans. And according to some news, Old Zhong already has full black barrier aircraft. The aircraft flies entirely within the black barrier area, using plasma magnetic storm explosions to overwhelm the enemy’s detection systems.
